Turn Button Plate (BP2) (Pre-Order)

Turn Racing

Estimated ship date is 1st week of October. Due to global material shortages and supply chain issues we have been experiencing frustrating delays :( We're working hard to get these shipped as soon as possible!

The Turn Button Plate (BP2) is the best direct drive button box for the price. It plugs into the PC via a coiled USB cable and can work with any sim racing wheel base with a 70mm bolt pattern.

  • 6 tactile pushbuttons
  • 2 rotary encoders (Anodized Aluminum)
  • 2 of the 7-in-1 "Funky" switches (Anodized Aluminum)
  • Textured injection molded ABS enclosure
  • Internal frame to make it just as rigid as a billet enclosure (Anodized Aluminum)
  • Turn Gen3 magnetic shifters with 17mm adjustable paddle travel (Anodized Aluminum)
  • Supplied with coiled USB cable
  • Supplied with sticker sheet
  • Supplied with flat Formula paddles and 10mm bent GT paddles which makes it easy to use a flat 300mm wheel or a dished 350mm wheel

  • Option of either a threaded or non-threaded 70mm hub bolt pattern. The thickness of the hub is 17mm.
  • Recommended 15cm (6in.) of clearance between the BP2 and the wheel base for the USB cable.
  • Threaded Hub makes it easy to swap steering wheels without removing the BP2 from the base. Just remove the 6 screws from the front and swap wheels! (Best for quick releases that are non-threaded so the screws can mount to the back of the button plate)
  • Non-Threaded Hub for through hole screws (Best for Podium Hub and threaded quick releases)

Turn wheel and BP1

Hi Zach,
Awesome wheel. I was wondering if you offered or where I could get a longer USB cord?

Best plate for the money

Very happy with this plate. After getting used to the 7 way funky switches on my Ascher wheel, especially for looking left/right in sim, I knew I needed the same thing for my round 300mm Momo. As far as I could find online my options were between this and simcore's button plate which is $200 more and I refused to pay as much for a plate as I did for my entire Ascher wheel. The buttons on this plate are comparable to my F28-C which was a nice surprise: the face buttons have a similar actuation weight but are clickier which is always fun.

I'm probably one of the first to get this plate with Zach's new shifters, which I assume will come standard on the BP2. They're all aluminum and have a very pronounced, short throw. A little longer throw than my Aschers which is expected and desired since those are such a short throw and better suited for a formula wheel. They're a lot quieter than the Aschers which I like because they still have the same positive click response. I live alone in a house so I don't even need to be quiet and I prefer the noise level of these.

Most importantly these shifters are adjustable width wise, AKA they go outward towards 9 and 3 o'clock. Even with my small 300 mm wheel the shortest setting was uncomfortable, and I assume this was the issue with the previous generation shifters. I have them all the way extended and it's great albeit overkill for this size rim, so you should easily be able to use these with a 350 mm wheel. I haven't used his old shifters but I know that was a concern with the last gen.

In the future I'd love to see some fabricated aluminum GT shifter paddles from Zach. The default paddles for this wheel are formula paddles-- they're even smaller than my Ascher paddles. They've been surprisingly comfortable and haven't had any issues with them yet, at this point it's me being a perfectionist and wanting that extra legroom when my wheel is turned 180 degrees.

Also the one reviewer Tim T. was right about the size screws and nuts needed for me to mount this directly to my SC2 QR, so thanks for that.

Finally, Zach was amazing with customer support. He answered my email in a very detailed manner and very quickly despite knowing he was backed up on parts and probably orders. Thanks Zach!

Button Plate 1 with R20

Button plate is flawless. Exactly what I was looking for.
I held off on the review until I have had a really good chance to put it through it's paces. It's good. It's really, really good. Quality of components and construction is second to none. Positioning and spacing of all features is a great fit. And having 2 funky switches is fantastic.
Zach has also been really great about answering questions and helping when needed. It wound up that I needed a spacer and longer bolts, and Zach was quick to help out.
Thanks Zach!

Button Plate 1 and Motamec wheel

Build quality is amazing. Works out of the box. Came with suckers. Awesome. The only thing I might recommend is maybe some slightly longer paddles if you are rocking the 350mm rally wheel. My finger tips just barely reach them and I have large hands.

Turn Button Plate

What can I say. It’s amazing. There aren’t too many companies out there that make aluminum button plates, and Turn Racing is one of them. Everything feels nice. I knew it had beveled edges, but to see them and feel them shows the quality that Zach puts into his products. If I only had one thing that I could change and it’s really minor, I would want the rotary encoders to be a little easier to turn. Or maybe have the knobs be rubber instead of plastic.
